Ann Hoffman Wolf

Ann (Hoffman Stephenson) Wolf, 83, passed away July 5, 2017. Visitation from 6-8pm Mon., July 10th with rosary recited at 5:30pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Funeral Service 12pm Tues. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 318 Benton Blvd KCMO 64124.

Ann was born Jan. 10, 1934 in Kansas City, MO to Zehner & Julia (Cavanaugh) Hoffman. She was a graduate of Cardinal Glennon High School. Ann grew up in Independence, MO and raised her family there. She was a life-long Catholic; belonging to St. Ann’s, St. Mary’s and currently St. Anthony’s Parishes. Ann worked in the Insurance industry for several years at multiple Insurance agencies. She was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan and enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading and cooking/baking. She was famous for her Christmas cookies and hosting great Christmas parties.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Julia Hoffman; brothers, Zehner & John “Jack” Hoffman and a son, Bob Wolf. She is survived by her husband, James Wolf; children, Kathleen Carroll (Dennis), John Stephenson, Elizabeth Stephenson, Paul Stephenson (Bridgette), Sheryl Turner (Mac), James Wolf (Melanie), Brian Wolf (Becky) and Denise Hammond (Travis);19 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and more on the way; many nieces and nephews; her extended family from church and friends from the Askew Inn. Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.
