Anthony Lipari Sr., 88, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully in his home on March 18, 2024. Anthony was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Nunzeo and Frances (Ferrara) Lipari, and his twin infant sons John and Joseph Lipari. Anthony was a 33-year Armed Forces reserve veteran, with tours of duty in the US Army Reserves (Retired, First Sergeant), US Navy Reserves, Army Guard.
Anthony was also a 38-year veteran of the Kansas City Missouri Fire Department where he retired as a Fire Captain.
Anthony was in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say Scout Warrior Troop #86; Local #42 International Association of Fire Fighters; American Legion #608; lifelong member of the of the Pan American Golf Association, Kansas City Chapter; a Knights of Columbus member of Monsignor Arthur M. Tighe Council #1698 at Visitation; and a 4th Degree Knight of the Father Bernard J. Donnelly Assembly #566.
Anthony is survived by his wife Mary (Briseno) of 65 years, and his children: Athena Lipari, Anthony Lipari Jr. (Angela), Annette Rangel, Stephen Lipari, Cheri Perez (Andrew), Andrew Lipari (Sheila Kirwan), Edward Lipari (Dianne), Mary Yager (Rodney), and Julie Olivas (Juan). Anthony had 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23 at Visitation Catholic Church 5141 Main St., Kansas City, MO 64112. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
