Mrs. Arzelia Mae Macon fell asleep in death June 9, 2011. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 3601 E. 53rd Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Interment will follow the service in Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road. Arzelia was born September 10, 1930, daughter of James Richardson and Helen Young, both of whom preceded her in death. She married John Wesley Macon, July 8th, 1962, he also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, April Williams. Arzelia was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness in January of 1975. She received her education in the Kansas City, Kansas school district. She had been a nurse for over 40 years, graduating from Menorah Hospital. She leaves to mourn: six children, Suprena Macon and Wesley Macon of Kansas City, Missouri, Thomas Reece of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mary Andrews, Willie Smith and Gerald Lynn Smith, all of Kansas City, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
