Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM, on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119. Inurnment will follow services in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
Barbara was born in Kansas City, MO to William and Mary Jane (Culver) Fitzgerald on March 7, 1940. She graduated from Bishop Hogan High School and, after her graduation, she remained involved in organizing her school reunions.
Barbara started her working career at Linwood State Bank. She went on to work as an Office Manager for Red Ball Motor Freight, Tension Envelope, and the Envelope Equipment Company. After her retirement, she was involved with organizing estate sales.
She was an avid reader, gardener, cook, and talented seamstress. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. The highlight of Barbara’s week was her standing date night with her grandson, Jack.
Barabara is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Patricia Fitzgerald.
She leaves behind her daughter, Kelly Park; granddaughter, Christina Park; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Collin, Jack, and Lilly; sisters, Elaine Grummer, Teresa Bain, and Christine Heitzler; brothers, Edward Fitzgerald, John Fitzgerald, and Dan Fitzgerald; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory
