

Barbara Ann [Enright] Jefferies, devoted mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully March 10, 2024 at the age of 88. She was born on February 12, 1936 in Raytown, Missouri to Vivian and Emeret Enright.
Barbara was a woman of strong convictions and unwavering dedication. She approached life with determination and resilience, facing challenges head on and persevering through adversity.
Barbara was a 70-year member of the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star where she dedicated herself to the principles of sisterly love, relief, and truth. She was deeply committed to the organization’s values and formed lifelong friendships within its community.
Barbara was also a talented seamstress who found fulfillment in sewing, and crafting. Her craftsmanship was meticulous, and she took great pride in her work, creating beautiful items for herself, her loved ones, many square dancers and the Midwest Cloggers.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Vivian and Emert Enright, Her Older brother William (Bill) Enright, and her eldest son, Douglas (Doug) E. Caster.
In addition to her involvement with the Missouri OES and her passion for sewing, Barbara was fiercely devoted to her family. She leaves behind her sons James R. [Jim] Jefferies, John A. Jefferies, David W. (Cyndi) Jefferies, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. In her High School years at Raytown High School she was a cheerleader, basketball player and a member of the School Choir. She later helped to organize several reunions for the class of 1954. Barbara was heavily involved with her family’s activities as she rarely missed a football game, swim meet, music concert, Square Dance or Clogging event. She always supported her family's interests.
Barbara Ann Jefferies will be remembered for her strength of character and determination. May she rest in peace, knowing she has left behind a legacy of dedication and resilience.
