Barbara A Knotts

Barbara Ann Haynes Knotts, 77, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 11th, 1:30 p.m., at Christ Church Anglican, 5500 West 91st Street, Overland Park, KS, 66207. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Anglican.

Barb was a gracious hostess who always went out of her way to help others and care for her family. Her faith and pragmatic sense was the soul and compass to constantly guide her family, and she maintained a warm and understanding presence to all that knew her. Her southern upbringing always displayed a strong sense of class and respect that shined above all situations. As a salesperson for Woolf Brothers and Saks Fifth Avenue for many years, she had a loyal clientele that depended on her great fashion sense and cheerful mood. Upon her retirement, Barb then dedicated her skills to work at the church store, putting her personable style to work for her favorite boss, our savior Jesus Christ. Her love, faith and tireless dedication to her church and family made every gathering very special.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Albert Knotts and her daughter, Jane Ann Knotts. She is survived by her sons, David and his wife, Mary Anne, their children, Allison, Bryan and Andrew of Dutzow, MO; her son Steven of Leawood, KS; and her youngest son Randy and his wife, Heather of Glen Ellyn, IL, and their children, Courtney, Owen and Spencer; and her sister Natalie Barresi Crystal Beach, FL.
