

Barbara Ann Quattlebaum, 84, of Independence MO, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on July 8, 2025. A devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, Aunt and friend, Barbara lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Born in Centralia MO, Barbara was the daughter of Jim and Pearl Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older sisters, Dorothy Whitcomb and Mildred Mills.
A true family-oriented woman, Barbara’s greatest joys came from spending time with her husband, William Quattlebaum, daughter Sheri Holman, and granddaughter Paige Holman. She is also survived by her son-in-law Joshua Holman, brother-in-law Edward Whitcomb, nephew Mike Whitcomb (Judy), niece Gina Whitcomb (Doug), and great-niece Cristina.
Barbara’s professional life began in telecommunications, where she worked for AT&T and later Sprint as an engineering associate before retiring. Even in her retirement, Barbara continued to stay active, working at her niece’s furniture store for several years. She also cherished her involvement with the “AT&T Girls” and the Pioneers AT&T Service Organization.
Barbara’s compassionate nature was evident in every aspect of her life. She was known for sending thoughtful and encouraging cards with handwritten notes, always putting others before herself. Her love for her family and friends extended to her enjoyment of simple pleasures like going to the movies, visiting the dinner theater and shopping.
Barbara will be remembered for her generosity, her genuine kindness, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. She treasured the deep bond she shared with her sisters and the time they spent together.
