She was born on February 13th, 1944 to Eldon and Betty (Willhite) Lowther.
Barb graduated high school in 1963. She worked in accounting her whole life, while raising her two kids; David and Diane. Later in life, she met her life partner Joe Walker. She retired from working full time, and she enjoyed life, but something was missing so she began a part time job working the front desk at the Gladstone Community Center where she made many friends.
Barb enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and discovering new restaurants. She also enjoyed many day trips with the Gladstone Community Center.
Barb was an avid sports fan. She loved going to the Royals games, especially the home openers, and was a great supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Betty Lowther, her brother Barry Lowther, her life partner Joseph Walker, and her grandson Dalton Suggs.
She is survived by her daughter Diane (husband Kendall) Suggs Mills of Kansas City, her son David (wife Kris (O’Riley)) Suggs of Olathe, grandson Dallas Suggs of Olathe, granddaughter Kailey Kuntz of Shawnee Mission, two brothers; Donny (Debbie) Lowther and Dennis (Kim) Lowther, sister-in-law Debbie Lowther, and nieces and nephews.
