He was born on August 10, 1942 in Kansas City, MO. Ben was raised in Kansas City in the Grandview neighborhood. His parents had a tree farm off of Blue Ridge Blvd. He drove semi trucks for ISIS and TG&Y before becoming a Highway Inspector for MDoT, where he retired from. He lived in Harrisonville, MO and Lufkin, TX before moving to Knob Noster, MO. He was a Grandmaster in the Freemasons and loved fishing, camping and the outdoors. Ben was widowed from Angela M. Parson in 2004. She was the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Parson, Sr. and Kathryn Parson; brother, Jack Parson; sister, Bonnie McCormick; sister, Evonne Wells; brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Parson; and wife, Angela M. Parson.
Ben is survived by his brother, Don Parson; children Debbra C. Haislip (Dwain), Troy D. Parson (Estella), Della Marie Meyer (Eric), Matthew C. Parson, Mark B. Parson; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5-6 PM, service 6 PM, on Friday, June 16 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
