Betty L. Christenson, 85, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Emeritus Senior Living in Overland Park. She was born in White Cloud, KS and lived here for more than 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Nellie F. (Sesna) and Charles M. Yates, two brothers Charles S. and Jack Yates, her husband Jerry Christenson, granddaughter Ashley Willman, and her Chihuahua, Dante. Mrs. Christenson is survived by her brother Robert Yates of Fargo, North Dakota; son Steve Christenson of Arkansas; daughters Janet Christenson of Shawnee, Kansas and Toni Kirtley of Tallahassee, Florida; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road. Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
