Betty Jo Hammond, 90, Olathe, KS passed away November 20, 2016. Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvesters.
Betty was born September 5, 1926 in Pleasant Hill, MO, daughter of Arthur and Leona Mackler. She was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. She was passionate about gardening and flowers. Betty was a member of Olathe First Presbyterian Church. She was a very sweet lady with a pure loving heart. Betty never met a stranger and she liked everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years Gene Hammond and sister Kathren Hilton. Betty is survived by her son Scott Hammond of Olathe
