Beverly May Kilkenny, 85, of Leawood, KS passed away June 1, 2018. Beverly was born May 18, 1933 in Tacoma, WA. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She focused on faith and family above all else. A founding member of The Church of the Nativity parish, Beverly developed close relationships within and outside of the church. She enjoyed family beach vacations, fishing at the lake and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Grace Nelson, and her brother Bud and his wife, Kay Nelson. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, R. Gary Kilkenny, and her children: Mike (Andrea) Kilkenny; Cindy (Harry) Chalker; Greg (Anne) Kilkenny; and Kelly (Brian) Dragon; as well as 15 grandchildren: Katelyn, Shannon, Tim, Kylie, Natalie, Mitchell, Grace, Abby, Meghan, John, Connor, Brendon, Madeleine, Ellena, and Sadie; and her two sisters Emma Doan and Doris Hargadon.
Visitation will be from 10-11am on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am. Contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of NE Kansas or Kansas City Hospice House.
