Carol Rose Rieschick

Carol Rose Rieschick died July 28, 2024 in Lee’s Summit, MO. She was born March 6, 1940 to Sylvester Stone & Agnes Stoll Stone. She was married to Donald Rieschick in November 1960 and after a brief time in Cedar Rapids, IA they made their home in the Kansas City area. They were the parents of two sons, James Rieschick, and Jeff Rieschick.

Carol was a homemaker, raising their sons and later “mothering her two cats.” She liked jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and games on the computer. She enjoyed family time and traveling with Don. They enjoyed vacations in Branson and Bella Vista, AR.

She was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church and worshipped there for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, her son James and her brother, Robert Stone and sister, Sherry Stone Sickler.

She is survived by her son, Jeff, a daughter-in-law Debbie Rieschick, a granddaughter Sarah Rieschick Johnson, a great-granddaughter Destiny. She is also survived by two step grandchildren, Sean Seefeldt and Cheri Seefeldt and six step great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by brothers Randy (Nanetta) Stone, Jan (Delaine) Stone and Robert(Teri) Henton and sister Sandra(Jac) Plitz, and Beverly McCormick.

A visitation for Carol will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 4900 Blue Ridge BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral will occur Friday, August 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 4900 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. A graveside will occur Friday, August 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at DW Newcomer's Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.
