Carolina Ruiz de Vieyra

Carolina Ruiz De Vieyra, 68 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 28, 2022 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on August 13, 1954 to David Ruiz and Margarita Guzman in Guanajuato, Mexico. She was a member of Kansas City Spanish SDA Church and loved gardening. She was passionate about teaching others to follow a righteous path and encouraged relationships with God. Carolina had an incredible love for serving others and was the spiritual leader of the family. She loved her friends, family and entire community. She filled her home with warmth and kindness. With the heart of an angel she loved nothing more than to help others. No matter how big or small the problem was she was always there for everyone. We will miss her greatly.

Carolina was preceded in death by her father, David Ruiz; mother, Margarita Guzman; her husband, Gonzalo Vieyra; brother, David Ruiz Jr.; and sisters, Sirenia Ruiz and Lydia Ruiz. She is survived by her four children, Jose Vieyra, Maria Tule, Bertha Vieyra, and Yesenia Vieyra; and grandchildren, Alondra Tule, Kiersten Naughton, Maya Tule, Khloe Vieyra and Noah Russell.

Visitation will be held starting at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 3 at Ebenezer Spanish Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 14500 East 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055, with service following at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a small donation to her lifelong mission and charity of choice.
