I was born on March 21, 1940, to Robert and Virginia (Bellman) Lucas. To this union, they blessed me with one brother (Robert) and two sisters (Judy & Vickie).
I attended St. Theresa Little Flower Grade School and Hogan High School. Upon graduation, I went to work with Keresting-Greer Brokerage Company and remained there until 1964, then went to work for Willson-Low Food Brokerage Company (later known as Willson Marketing). In 2001, I went to work for Food Marketing Resources, ending my long career in food marketing.
In 1964 I met the true love of my life, Don Oberjuerge. We were married on August 25, 1972, and were married for 41 years, until his passing in November 2013.
My siblings blessed me with three nieces and four nephews - Carol, Danna, Parrish, Mark, Michael, Marsha, and Matthew. Thank you for being such a happy part of my life.
Thank you all for this wonderful journey, I could not have made it without the love of my family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Chaney, and brother-in-law Jim Chaney, brother-in-law William Copeland, and nephew Mark Copeland.
A funeral mass for Carolyn will be held Monday, April 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
