Cena Accurso, 94, passed away May 31, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4th at St. Thomas More. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cena Accurso Matching Scholarship Fund, UMKC School of Medicine, 2411 Holmes St., Kansas City, MO 64108.
Cena was born October 12, 1919 to Frank and Sylvia (Rinkert) Angelo in Kansas City, MO. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony C. Accurso; her parents, Frank and Sylvia Angelo; her brothers, Anthony Angelo and Sebastian Angelo.
She is survived by her sister, Rosemarie Salpietro; children, Joe Mike Accurso, Frank (Linda) Accurso, Danny (Missy) Accurso, Louis Accurso, Tammy (Larry) Dickinson; grandchildren, Michael, Terri, Katy, Nick, David, Danielle (Brad), Anthony, Christopher, Patrick, Angela and Gabrielle; great grandchildren, Gavin, Gage and Tayler.
