Chuck met his wife, Marjorie, of 53 years while working. He approached her and said, "My date cancelled and you have to go out with me." They enjoyed many family vacations and spent their retirement years traveling by RV.
Finally, his joy was his motor coach and wife as "Snowbirds". Their favorite place being Arizona. Chuck enjoyed many hobbies including archery, biking, fly fishing and fly tying, woodworking and metal sculpture.
As a Structural Engineer at Burns & McDonnell for 35 years, he traveled the world on numerous projects.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
A visitation for Chuck will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
