Trueman grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, where he graduated from East High School. After high school he began working for Trans World Airlines and worked there for 44 years.
He was actively involved in the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and various other antique car groups.
Trueman was preceded in death by his wife Louise, his brother Harvey Ervin and both his parents.
He is survived by his daughters Nancy Troutwine and her husband Bob, Peggy Watkins and her husband Roy, grandchildren Lee Watkins, Brett Watkins, Adam Troutwine, Ben Troutwine, Meredith Morefield and their spouses. He also has 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Raintree Village for the care and compassion he showed our loved one in their final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation and services at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home on Friday, January 30. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM with a short service beginning at 11:00 AM. Private Interment to follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery. There will be no graveside service.
