Our family was distressed to learn of the sad news.  We valued Brother Tinkey's humble and mild spirit, often reflected in his meeting comments and quiet ways.  It reminds of us of Christ's promise at Matthew 5:5:

“Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.”~ Matt.5:5

For his family, we earnestly look to the fulfillment of another of Christ's loving assurances:

“Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted.” ~ Matt. 5:4

My condolences to Charles' family and friends. I will miss his phenomenal cooking. He was really talented in several ways. It was great to see him reaching out to others and making strides over the past six months too. He rejoined the school and gave a talk six weeks ago. He wanted to back out and now I'm so glad that I wouldn't let him! I was really proud of him for doing a terrific job on it. I took him home from a congregation picnic last summer and we had what turned into just a terrific conversation about his goals and dreams, and I was really impressed by some of his comments. He was quite a thinker, really, and not many people got to enjoy that side of him. I will miss him, but I'm grateful that when he wakes up, he will be healthy, happy, and welcomed back to our family of brothers. And then he will be required to bake a pie for me. :)

So sorry to hear about Charles sudden death, the tragedy is overwhelming when I think of the man he was and the talents he shared with the Villas.  Donna, my prayers are with you.  Love, hugs and kisses.

They were short conversations on the way back and forth from the Hall, but Charles was an intelligent man.  He loved to decorate and made delicious food.  Donna this time right now seems painful, but roll it over on to Jehovah.  We love you lady and are there if you need us.

I was so shocked to hear of Charles' passing.  Donna, you are in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything I can do you know where to find me,  I am so very sorry for your loss.  Charles was such a soft-spoken man; kind to all.  May he rest in peace

We have so many good memories of Charles. He was very thoughtful and loved doing things for others. We will truly miss him.
