

Chris Hartmann, 64, Kansas City, passed away unexpectedly May 19, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24 from 6:00 – 8:00 at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday, May 25 at 10:00 AM, also at St Patrick. Following cremation, Chris will rest in the arms of his loving family.
Chris was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Joseph C. Hartmann and Adele M. Walgenbach Hartmann on September 28, 1952. He was a devout Catholic, had a kind and gentle spirit, quite a sense of humor, a member of ArtsKC, a passionate artist, quite the philosopher and handy man, avid Chiefs and Royals fan, as well as appreciated a fine cigar and a glass of scotch.
He was a devoted, loving husband to Janice L. Hartmann of 30+ years, a loving father to his daughter, Jessica Lynn (Hartmann) Park and son-in-law Michael Park and a proud grandfather of Samuel Keith Park & Alexander Christopher Park. He is also survived by his 3 brothers Joseph H. Hartmann (Carol), Douglas J. Hartmann, William J. Hartmann (Crystal) and 3 sisters Lisa Pierce (Patrick), Lynn Johnson and Lori Fetterling. He was a dear uncle to 30 nieces and nephews, 24 cousins, a wonderful friend to many and had tremendous love for his huge family.
