Chris was born on July 13, 1967 the son of David and Bette (Johnson) Mayta in Kansas City, MO. He was the fourth of five sons and fearless. He had many scrapes, cuts and split his ear in two falling off a swing set. As an adult he was a soft spoken, gentle, and kind soul.
He attended Fleetridge Elementary, Raytown Jr High and Raytown High School and was employed by KC Booth as a frame builder for 20 years.
Chris enjoyed repairing power lawn tools and helping family and neighbors with their lawns or projects.
Chris is survived by his parents David (Connie) Mayta, brothers Mark (Lorie) Mayta, Scott (Lori) Mayta and Todd (Papri) Mayta and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved cat.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bette Mayta and brother Kevin Mayta.
Funeral Services will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 10 am. Saturday January 2, 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions only immediate family are allowed. A graveside committal service will follow at 10:45 am and may be attended by all.
