Claudia Jean (Liepsner) Boles was born in Dallas Texas on July 18th, 1971 to Janet and Gregory Dalton. In 1976 Janet remarried to Robert Liepsner. Claudia was blessed in life to have two loving fathers.
In 1990 Claudia graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas Texas and then attended the University of Missouri Columbia where she made many of her lifelong friends as a sorority sister of Alpha Phi. She finished her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and Hispanic studies from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
During college, she met Tim, who drove between Kansas City and Columbia every weekend to see her. After a year of this back and forth, she moved back to KC. From that point on they were inseparable. They loved country music and spent years dancing together as the envy of everyone in the room. They could do flips, dips, turns, lifts, and spins to beat the band! Claudia was beautiful and graceful!
December 30th,1994 they were married in Kansas City. 6 years later, they welcomed their first-born son, Tyler, into the world followed by Wade in 2004. In 2009 they lost their unborn son Henry. She loved her boys unconditionally and was so proud to be their mother.
Claudia had a great love for animals. For over a decade she worked at Hecker Animal Clinic. She started as a receptionist at the front desk and worked her way up to a vet tech position. She had a gift for bringing peace to anxious animals and their families! She never shied away from watching the procedures no matter how graphic. She was fascinated by the way the body worked. The only thing Claudia loved to do more than work with animals was to work with kids.
Claudia loved to cook and made a career of it. She cooked for nursing homes, country clubs and school districts. She loved to help people and make them feel important! Especially kids. For the last few years she worked in the cafeteria at Santa Fe Trails elementary in the Shawnee Mission School district. She had an amazing ability to remember not only the names of every kid, but something special about each one, allowing her to make sure every kid that came through her line felt special. She shared her personal life with them and treated them as friends not just kids.
Raised a true Texas girl, she loved country music and the real life stories the music told- it’s relatability and how anyone could find a personal meanings in the songs. She loved sharing music with others and she knew the artist and words of every song. Claudia never missed a Saturday night listening to the Original Country Gold radio show with Rowdy Yates! She never listened alone as she had hundreds of friends she listened and interacted with during her favorite 5 hours of the week!
Claudia had a full life online as well. She created genuine friendships with people, many of whom she never met in person. Facebook was created to build friendships where distance didn’t matter. Claudia was the best example of how this platform could bring people together. Every morning she posted something funny to give you reason to smile! The light she brought into this sometimes broken world could make even the darkest days seem brighter. She had no judgements and followed no one’s social norms. She knew exactly who she was and was unapologetically just Claudia. A die hard Chiefs fan, lover of lacrosse, cooking and country music. She loved her best friend and husband Tim fiercely and unconditionally. The pride and love she had for both boys was immeasurable.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years Timothy Boles, her sons Tyler and Wade Boles, Her mother Janet Liepsner, her fathers Robert Liepsner and Gregory Dalton, her sister Catie Ebert, bother in law Clinton Ebert, nephew Charlie Ebert, her god parents Billie and Robert (Bubba) Cunningham and last but certainly not least her dogs Louie, Olie and Motley.
Services will be held at Ward Parkway Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri on Wednesday April 27th at 3pm.
