

Claudine 'Sample' Robinson was born on January 27, 1929 in Grand Rivers, Kentucky to her parents Joseph Crittenden Sample and Ollie Pearl Rye. She grew up in The Masonic Orphans Home in Louisville, Kentucky.
Claudine married her lifelong love, Elmer Lee Robinson on April 22, 1952 in Hardy, Arkansas when she was 23 years old. They eventually settled down in Kansas City, Missouri where they raised their six children, Thaddeus, Bradford, Gregory, Sharon, Russell, and Marilyn. Elmer and Claudine went on to expand their family beyond their six children to 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Claudine found the Lord in her late teenage years. Throughout her life, she served at multiple churches with the United Pentecostal Church International. She was actively involved with her current church, Heart and Soul Church of Raymore, Missouri since 2001 when the church was founded by her son, Bradford. In the words of Claudine herself when talking about the church, "It's been my life, all my life."
Claudine was always ready for a Scrabble opponent as she was an avid Scrabble player. She enjoyed word searches, had a deep love for desserts, and all things pink. Claudine had a smile that would light up the room when she came through the door. She was known for her generosity and genuine care for the community.
Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer L. Robinson; sons, Thaddeus G. Robinson, Gregory D. Robinson; daughter, Marilyn R. Johnson; and son-in-law, Michael A. Pittenger. She was the youngest of her siblings and the last to depart from this earthly life.
She is survived by sons Bradford M. Robinson (Marsha), J. Russell Robinson (Sharon K. Couch), and daughter, Sharon D. Pittenger, and sister-in-law, Ruth C. Sample. She is also survived by all 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.
Visitation service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Heart and Soul Church, 118 W. Walnut St., Raymore, Missouri 64083.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 23, at Heart and Soul Church, followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at Oakland Cemetery, 30701 E. Truman Road, Buckner, Missouri 64016.
The family wishes memorial contributions be made to Heart and Soul Church of Raymore, Missouri or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
