Corinne H. Lemieux

CORINNE H. LEMIEUX Corinne H. Lemieux, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Bishop Spencer Place, Kansas City. Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, October 12, 2009 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City. Corinne was born on December 15 1918 in Rolla, North Dakota to Pierre Phillippe Darie and Blanche (nee Verret) Lemieux. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota and was an Army nurse in World War II. After the war, she went to Missouri (but her heart was in North Dakota) to work at Menorah Medical Center for almost 20 years. In retirement, she took care of her mother until her death in 1964. She then became a part time resident in Dickinson, North Dakota with her sister, Eveleen Nachtwey. In addition to her parents, Corinne was preceded in death by her sister, Eveleen; and brother, Robert B. Lemieux. Left to cherish her memory are nieces, Elizabeth Lemieux of Tuscon, AZ, Mary Ann Hartl and husband, John, of Racine, WI and Kathleen Heilgeist and husband, Jim, of Issaquah, WA; nephew, Robert P. D.
