Cris was one of my best friends.  I can't believe he is gone.  I am finding out late as I have been sick with my brain tumor and feel terrible I didn't know until now.  I wish I had more time to talk and share memories with Cris.  He was a great friend to me.  I will miss him and his mean sense of humor.

I met Cris while training at our gym in Olathe. Cris was welcoming from the moment I entered Got 'Em and was always clowning with the regulars and encouraging to everyone. I didn't know Cris for very long or very well, but I'll always remember his positive attitude and motivational spirit.

I’m so sorry Cris is no longer with us.  My earliest memories of Cris was following him around at our grandpa’s house.  Even though he was in his early teens and likely rolling his eyes, he was always so kind and generous towards my sister and me.   Once when he briefly worked as a manager at Burger King as a young man, my sister and I couldn’t believe it when he said they throw away the cooked french fries at the end of a shift.  He just laughed at how ridiculous we were.   He was such a kind and gentle man. Cris, we love and miss you.  Your cousin, Scott Iverson 

I worked with Cris at LCAAP.  There wasn't a day that passed that he didn't  make us all laugh.   He could turn a bad day into a good one.  He was great to work with.   
Prayers to the family. 

I grew up with two sisters. I would tell my mom frequently that I really wanted a brother. Exhausted by dealing with us three kids she would always reply with “Go and have your own someday.”  Years later when I married Shawn I followed her advice and got two older brothers as a bonus. And because God has a sense of humor I got three little boys in addition. I will miss you big brother Cris.

Nothing can express how we feel  but I hope you find comfort in this.   "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal".

The Choromokos

So many memories have come flooding back this week.  The Harmon trips to the Bahamas and Hawaii.  The Iverson and Sullivan meet ups in Columbia, Missouri.    

I remember Cris taking me and Scott to see the Plaza Lighting Ceremony live.  It was my first time.  David Bowie’s Let’s Dance was on the radio so it must have been early to mid-eighties.  Being at the lighting ceremony was special enough but he took us to a eat at a diner afterwards.  To my tween self it was a big-time night with my favorite cousin (sorry Todd and Shawn).  It was perfect.  

Cris you will be so missed by all.  You were loved.

Cris was the best friend anyone could have.  

I've known Cris for the past +15yrs, we became friends when he worked at Sprint, as he was my customer.  I moved on to a different job, and we continued our long-distance friendship, as we spoke on the phone nearly everyday, while I commuted home from work.  We referred to each other as "Missouri Husband" and I was his "California Wife".  He was a very special friend and I will miss him dearly.  Spoke to him Sunday night, never realizing it would be the last time . . . Still having a difficult time grasping the fact that he's left us.  

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time.

It is hard to say just how much Cris meant to me. He has lived directly across the street from me for 25 years. He was the best neighbor. He was so good to help me with so many different issues and he never complained about it. Each Halloween I would stand in the street with Cris and give out our candy.  He played scary music and had his house decorated every year. Each Thanksgiving he put out a large inflatable turkey and would be sure it was out for my grandchildren to have their picture made and see how they had changed.  I’d love to see how he decorated for Christmas inside and out. The ladies at Hallmark even talked about him because he was a very good customer.  He was a very special man and so kind to everyone.  Cris loved his family so much. I will miss him more than I can say.  Prayers to all his family,  Linda Brown





Cris and I have been Friends for about 11 years,  we talked often and helped each other through some rough times, My Friend I will miss You so much, 

Many wonderful memories of Cris but especially of the times we worked together on floats representing our church in the Fall Fun Festival Parade in Blue Springs.  He was very creative, and his creativity shows in the gardens around our church.

His parents were especially close friends, and they were so proud of Cris, Shawn and Todd...and eventually of their grandchildren.





When the Sullivan family moved to Blue Springs, I was lucky to meet Keith, Cris and Todd at Olin Corporation LCAAP.  My friendship with Cris included a sweet memory of his great cooking skills when a group of us met at his apartment for dinner... he had a cute little dachshund dog.  My prayer to the Sullivan family is for peace...hold your wonderful memories of Cris until you meet again.

Our condolences to the Sullivan Family.   Cris was a wonderful man with a happy smile.  I worked with Cris at Lake City and always enjoyed visiting with him.  He will be missed.


My family had the pleasure of being a neighbor of Cris for many years. He was always kind, happy and a positive influence in the neighborhood, just an all-around great guy, I am glad we got to know him. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Cris was an awesome neighbor to us for 12 years, our friendship continued an additional 13 years after our move. We will never forget his great smile or the ease of conversation we had with Cris. We like many others will miss his kind spirit.

So sad to hear of Chris’ passing. He always  had  a smile at church. So sorry for your loss. Prayers and love to all his family. 

I was so saddened when I heard about Cris’s passing. He was such a nice, kind and considerate person. When church was available I looked forward to seeing and talking to him. My condolences to Keith and family. He will surely be missed.

Cris will really be missed at First United Methodist! He was so helpful on the Finance Committee.  I always appreciated his thoughtful contributions, and his sincere kindness. I send my love and condolences and pray for God's comfort for his whole family. He will be missed!

Cris was the best neighbor I ever had. He made my wife and I feel at home when we moved in.   My grandchildren loved it when he and Bella were in the back yard.  He was a wonderful guy and  I will miss talking with him. 

Oh Lord, where to start!  A true friend - was this cousin of mine! He even came to visit  us in BRasil! I will miss not having our one-to one meetings whenever I get to the USA. He was always interested and caring about me and my family.  Sad our son-in-law and Granddaughter  won’t know him! Your life was too short Cris, but you were a blessing to all!!

Cris was a wonderful soul who brightened up every family gathering over the years. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
