Dan Lee Lathrop, 64, Stilwell, Kansas, passed away at his home Monday, November 22, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cardiac issues. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Frisse, his sister, Patricia Breading, her husband Clark, his sister-in-law, Ann Lathrop, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. His daughter, Amy, preceded him in death in 2004.
Dan was a science teacher in Charleston, Illinois for 21 years and 17 years for Brittany Hill Middle School in Blue Springs. He loved making science fun and was known to spring "weird" food tastings on the students every year. Dan also loved animals and will be sorely missed by our pets as well as his friends and family. Thank you to the team at Cardiovascular Consultants and St. Luke's South & Plaza for all the care and compassion you gave Dan over the last 10 years.
There will be a remembrance at Powell Gardens, 1609 NW US Route 50, Kingsville, MO 64061 from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27. In lieu of flowers, Suzanne asks that you make a donation to Powell Gardens in Dan's name.
