David A. Daniels

David A. Daniels, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away at home, on Monday, February 9, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 14th, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Ascension, 9510 West 127th St., Overland Park, KS, with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 13th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Breakthrough, St. Vincents.

David was born January 18, 1940, in Parsons, Kansas. He was married to Linda Montgomery Daniels for 50 years. He graduated from De La Salle Academy and Rockhurst College. He was an engineer for General Motors for 36 years and president for General Motors Leeds Retiree Club for 12 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carolyn Daniels on July 7, 2014; his mother, Catherine Daniels; aunt, Regina Roper; two brothers, George Daniels and Richard Daniels. He is survived by his children, Diane Daniels Rash (Steve); Bridget Daniels Elleman (Chris), Tricia Daniels Bruders (Todd), and Patrick Daniels (Angie); grandchildren, Kristen Rash, Tony Elleman, Catherine (Katie) Daniels, Hunter Bruders, Jacob Rash, and Thomas David Daniels; one brother, Edward Daniels; and one aunt, Cecilia Daniels.
