A visitation is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, December 2, 2024 at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. A separate Celebration of Life is scheduled at 2 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Jarchow-Schroeder American Legion Post #61, 5125 N Bellaire, Kansas City, MO 64119. The family suggests contributions to American Legion Post #61.
David was born March 23, 1958 to Donald Lee and Helen Louise (Taylor) Miller in Kansas City, MO. He was a 1977 graduate of Winnetonka High School. He was a life-long area resident. David was retired from Fuji Film / Sericol after 32 years of service. He was active with the Sons of the American Legion of the American Legion Post #61, and the Patriot Guard Riders. David loved western movies and television programs, especially those with John Wayne. He was an avid motorcycle rider, especially Harley Davidson. David enjoyed family barbeques, playing corn hole, pool, darts, and bowling.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a brother, Michael Thomas Miller of Spickard, MO; 6 children, Dana Logan (Joshua Stiles), Michelle Miller, David Lee Miller, Jr. (Shan Miller), Felicia Brands (Steven Brands), Cynthia Ward (Christopher Ward) and Nichole Miller; 29 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 1 niece and 1 great niece and 1 great nephew; a great neighbor, Kristin Simpson; and several extended family.
