

Debbie, 55 was born in Council Bluffs, IA on April 21, 1969 to Marvin and Beverly Dykeman and passed into the arms of her Lord, on February 3, 2025 at her home in Stilwell, KS.
She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Iowa Western with an Associates in business then attended Creighton University where she earned a degree in Human Resources. She started her career working at Conservative Saving and Loan in Omaha, NE and continued her career in Overland Park, KS. She was passionate about her role working and mentoring staff for Nations Lending Service for 29 years ascending to the position of Senior Vice President of their national escrow service division. She was a kind, yet firm manager training hundreds of staff members and was intently devoted to her clients. She had a fine eye for interior design and it brought her a special joy when helping others.
Debbie met the love of her life and married William Noel on September 16, 1995 at Broadway Methodist Church in Council Bluffs, IA. Excited to start their new lives they moved to Overland Park, KS in 1996.
Debbie was a devoted Christian and an active 25-year member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. She cherished devoting her time and energy to volunteer at COR, including but not limited to, the pet ministry, greeting, ushering, section leader and her beloved small group. Her love for helping people was tireless in both her personal life and career. No matter the time of day she was there with a hug and a willingness to help others to get it done, her Christian values were paramount in her life, which in turn molded her into the beloved person she had become.
She was preceded in death by her father Marvin K. Dykeman, grandparents Merle and Lucille Sweney, grandmother Gertrude Phillips, uncle Rick Steckelberg and father-in-law James W. Noel. She is survived by her husband William Noel, mother Beverly Dykeman, aunt Patricia Steckelberg, cousin Brian Steckelberg, niece Olivia Steckelberg, mother in law Betty Noel, brother Craig Noel, and sister in law Brenda Noel.
Debbie will always be remembered for having a quick laugh, her humor, her devotion to family, and friends. She held a special unwavering love for her niece Olivia. She was a fearless wanderer. She loved to travel, with her one of her favorite destinations being Japan to visit family. She traveled by train across Canada, enjoyed cruises and had vacations to many exotic places. She made multiple journeys crossing the US for work and pleasure, with her favorite US destination being the majestic State of Utah.
On February 20, 2025 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor for us to share stories, laugh and grieve our loss at the Church of the Resurrection, in the student center located behind the Wesley Chapel, east side of Building “C”, 13720 Roe Blvd, Leawood, KS 66224. In lieu of flowers, an honorarium to the Pet Ministry has been established at the Church of the Resurrection to help train service dogs as she had a soft spot for her favorite furry dog daughter Harper Rose, a valued family member and devoted companion.
Debbie will always be remembered for her steadfast love, spirit, grace, friendship, integrity, and laughter. We couldn’t have asked for a better, wife, daughter, cousin, aunt, friend, boss, co-worker or doggie mom. She will be missed today and every day after. Her memory will live on as a legacy in the hearts of those who loved and cherished her. We were all blessed to have known her and the world is a better place because of her. By the grace of God, we feel privileged to have known her.
