Deborah R. Gober, 61, of Independence, MO passed away on Jan. 30, 2013. Visitation on Tues., Feb. 5th from 6-8pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Service at 11am on Wed. at the chapel and private interment at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Deborah was born on July 12, 1951 in Canonsburg, PA to Emmett “Andy” & Dorothy Andrews. She moved to the KC area in 1973. Her hobbies included gardening, crafts, photography, and doll collecting. She was a member & volunteer of Trinity Christian Assembly of God. Deborah was a big supporter of the National Humane Society, the Arbor Day Foundation & the Christian Children’s Fund. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents & two brothers, James & Michael Andrews. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, John; son, Jason Gober; daughter, Amy Morris (Byron); brother, Robert Andrews (Linda); sisters, Phyllis Hoffman, Barbara Andrews & April Forkey (Keith); grandsons, Michael & Derek; brother-in-law, Robert Gober and her beloved Chihuahuas, Pooder, Precious, Murphy & Prissy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
