

Diana was born on April 26, 1943 to Clarence and Erma Rohr in Topeka Kansas. After graduating high school, Diana worked as a legal secretary for numerous companies and firms throughout the Kansas City area.
Diana met her future husband Melvin J. Carey in the spring of 1962. It was love at first sight, the two were engaged to be married only two weeks later. Melvin and Diana were married on October 5, 1963 in Topeka Kansas. After the wedding, they moved Kansas City Missouri and went on to have three children-Amanda, Ryan and Matt.
Diana enjoyed gardening, bird watching, shopping for bargains and reading. Diana was a woman of faith and member of the Catholic Church Our Lady of Presentation in Lee’s Summit Missouri. Diana tried to be a kind friend to all, she was a member of her church’s Befriender Program for several years.
Diana will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. She be forever remembered as a beloved wife and mother, for her love of flowers, cats and dislike of Martha Stewart and spaghetti.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Erma Rohr and her brothers Charlie and Danny. She is survived by her beloved husband Melvin Carey, daughter Amanda McCabe, son-in-law John McCabe and their children Brianna and Reagan, son Ryan Carey, daughter-in-law April Carey and their children James and Eleanor, son Matt Carey, daughter-in-law Samantha Carey and their children Aubriella Horton, Jasmine and Kalena.
A visitation for Diana will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081. A mass of christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
