Dick was One 
of the “good guys”.  I was lucky to have played with him....back in the old days.   Very tough, competitive, and when the battle was done....big laugh and smile...and away we go!

Over the past two years I  had the opportunity to visit with Dick several times when traveling to KC and also by phone on other occasions.  He was always well informed, upbeat and fun to talk with.  We had a number of hearty laughs as we reminisced over our Weaver years and some of the great guys and characters with whom we played.  He was a man's man.   I will miss him.

Corrigan Family,

Dick's funeral was absolutely beautiful! Kim's Eulogy was one of the best, if not the best,  eulogies I've ever heard! What a great sendoff to Heaven for a great man...


I remember Mulvany/Corrigan get togethers with Dick and Jackie’s big beautiful family!  Some of my FAVORITE memories EVER, were working to build an Irish float displayed on an 18 wheeler flatbed truck, and then our families riding on the float through the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade! ❤️☘️

I had "Mr. Corrigan" my sophomore year at Ward High School for World History. He loved history with a particular knowledge of Hitler's rise to power prior to World War II. The information he shared was above and beyond the text book and I shared his  interest and enjoyed his presentation. Fast forward 6 years. I was in boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood and the CO of our company asked if anyone knew how Hitler came to power. I was able to recall all the facts I had learned in class to my training company. Later, the CO cornered me and asked how I knew so many less known details about Hitler. I told him it was because I had Mr. Corrigan as a teacher. 

I am so very sorry to learn of Dick's passing. He was a year ahead of me at Rockhurst and we were football teammates. I remember his toughness and very capable service as a role model for younger players. Our paths diverged once he graduated, but he remains in my memory as a smart and dedicated member of the Rockhurst High community. I send my sincere condolences to his family and pray they find strength in their many cherished memories as they grieve.

Ginny, Kim, and families,

I've known Dick and the Corrigans since I was 9 years old, and Dick was always a kind and generous guy. I was also his student at Bishop Ward High School back in the early 60s and, he was one of my favorite teachers! He was a great teacher and showed no favoritism to anyone, including me! 
Jackie and he were the consummate hosts at get-togethers at their beautiful home. They stood out as a loving, friendly, Catholic couple who welcomed everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace dear friend, and God Bless you all in your grief.
