Ted was born May 29, 1952 in Crookston, Minnesota. He was a loving husband and faithful follower of Christ. Ted loved sharing stories on a wide variety of subjects including history, geography, and childhood memories. One story he loved to share was about catching fireflies for money. The fireflies were used to help visualize cancer cells.
After retiring from his 30+ year career as a psychiatric nurse, Ted loved taking his dog, Lottie Dottie, to the dog park. He also began doing "clean" stand up comedy at open mic nights at local comedy clubs. He even spent a week opening up for J. J. Walker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev William Lorenz and Jane (Jewell) Lorenz, and brother Tim Lorenz.
Survivors include his wife Anita Lorenz, children Steve Lorenz (Natalie Dixon), Collin Pearman (Christina), and Levi Williams (Elisa Wood), siblings Jill Lorenz and Cliff Lorenz, and grandchildren Aubree, Rosalynn, Autumn, and Ellia.
