

Elizabeth Kerr Jacoway, 99, a resident of the Forum in Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside service will be in Bluff Cemetery, Springdale, Arkansas on Wednesday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. Elizabeth was born July 13, 1911 in Springdale, Arkansas, and was the youngest child of William May and Mary Olive Kerr. She had a successful career as a business woman in Arkansas, Louisville, Kentucky and Boston, Massachusetts. In 1976 she retired from the John Kirk Company, Boston, Massachusetts and soon thereafter moved to Overland Park, Kansas. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Cass Jacoway, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her dear friend Barbara Sherron of Overland Park, Kansas, nephew James Kerr of California, two nieces Mary Reeves also of California and Elizabeth Hulsey of Texas, as well as several great nieces, including Julie Bingham and Debra Thomson of Kansas City.
