After reading your mother’s obituary, her dash showed she enjoyed a life well lived.

My sincere condolences to Betty's family.  I knew Betty in Albuquerque.  We both attended St. Chad's Episcopal Church.  I was saddened to hear of her passing.

Betty was a lovely  person who enveloped all she came in contact with, with warmth and kindness.  We all missed Earl and Betty when they moved to be supported by family.

I was honored to have helped them sell their Albuquerque home so they could move.  As with many real estate transactions, this was especially challenging but Betty and Earl came through it all with grace and a positive attitude.  This was just Betty's way.

May your memories of Betty help you to deal with the grief your are experiencing and may Betty rest in peace with our Lord.

I knew Betty for a short time but, I immediately enjoyed being around her.  She was all for learning new things and wanting to be involved.  We played many games of Dominos together.  She picked it up quickly!

I wished I had more time to get to know Betty.  But the time we had was fun and good memories were produced.

      On behalf of everyone at Colonial Oaks Senior Living, please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Betty Kopke. We are so very sorry for your loss and our hearts are with you during this difficult time. 

       Betty was more than just a resident in our community she was a cherished member of our family. It was truly an honor to care for her to share in daily moments of laughter, conversation, and connection. Her presence brought warmth, joy, and comfort not only to fellow residents but to every caregiver and team member who had the privilege of knowing her.

      We are sincerely grateful that you entrusted us with Betty’s care. It is not something we take lightly. The opportunity to walk alongside them in life’s later chapters was a responsibility we carried with deep respect and heartfelt compassion. The stories shared, the memories created, and the lives touched during her time with us have left a lasting impact on our community. 

     Betty always enjoyed a good back scratch and shoulder rub.  She also liked to be part of the community, playing dominos, having a snack in the lobby, and earning the name “Bingo Queen”. She often liked talking about her family and where she came from.

     Please know that we are here for you and your family. Whether you need a listening ear, a comforting conversation, or support in any other way, we remain a part of your extended family. 

      Betty will be dearly missed, but always remembered—with love, with honor, and with gratitude.

We wish to express our condolences to Betty’s family. She was a valuable, warm, integral part of our lives while she worked for Fred and his orthopedic group, as well as after retirement. She was bright,  receptive to changes, and handled the phone better than anyone we have ever known. While managing a busy, high pressure, orthopedic practice at KU, in Fred’s words “she never lost her cool.”
