

Born on March 21st, 1953 in Kansas City, Liz was the daughter of Donald and Patricia Price. She was the middle of 5 children and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Liz attended Research School of Nursing where graduated as a registered nurse, then attended Missouri State University to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a published author of Dressed Inside Out, a book of poetry. She is also published under the pseudonym Eliza Prescott in Theatre of the Mind.
In 1977, Liz married and built a family, having identical twin daughters, Christine “Christy” and Rebecca “Becky” Pursley. In addition to her role as a fun mother, Liz provided for her family as a RN in surgery and neonatal intensive care units. Her dedication and hard work touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Liz will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her competitive spirit, and her unwavering love.
Liz’s daughter Christy preceded her in death the year prior. Her parents, brother David Price, David’s wife Shelle Price, sister Donna Wilkinson, and sister-in-law Kim Price preceded her in death.
She is survived by daughter Becky; two grand-daughters by Christy, Alexis and Amber Baugus; her siblings Veronica Marian, Donald Price II; nieces and nephews by Veronica children Matthew Marian, Mark Marian, Jessica Marian, Luke Marian; Donald Price II’s children Donald Price III and Andrew Price; Donna Wilkinson’s children Alan Wilkinson, Ann Wilkinson, David Price’s children David Price and Johnny Price; and last but not least brother in law David Marian, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation for Liz will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home,10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. A committal service will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery South. A reception will conclude services at Mount Moriah Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home.
Though she may be gone from our sight, Liz's love will live on in our hearts forever.
