

Esther Marie (Klymaszewski) Goble passed away August 11, 2017 at age 96. She was a longtime resident of Kansas City, Missouri. Esther was born November 8, 1920 in McLouth, Kansas to Peter Klymaszewski (Klem) and Amelia Otto. She married Larmon F. Goble on April 17, 1940 in Falls City, Nebraska. Esther and Larmon had 3 children in Kansas City, Kansas. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1953 where they built their family home. Larmon Goble predeceased Esther on April 3, 1976.
Esther was a spunky tough farm girl, an avid gardener, canning and preserving her produce. An accomplished master seamstress, re-weaver and quilter, she also did needlework and crochet of all kinds. She loved animals and birds, was a great bowler and baked the best pies and cakes ever. She worked for years outside the home in retail.
Esther was a lifelong Baptist and loved singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school, Bible study, socializing with the Jolly Sixties choral group and weekly Sunday services.
Surviving are her daughters; Sharon VandeWater (Jerry), of Flowery Branch, Georgia; Evelyn Steen (Warren) of East Berlin, Pennsylvania; her son Larmon Goble, Jr. (Sandy) of Blue Springs, Missouri; 8 grandchildren: Kim Maddux, Dan Maddux, Don Maddux (deceased), Robert Steen, Karen Adams, Max Maddux, Tamara Wates and Keith Goble, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation on Friday, August 25 between 6:00 and 8:00pm. Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 26 at 11:00am at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Rev. Jerry Applegate will officiate. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be sent to Lane Avenue Baptist Church, 9003 E 87th Street, Raytown, Missouri 64138.
