I just learned of Ev's passing.  I'm so sorry. I worked with her at United Telecom/Sprint for years.  She was a great boss and I enjoyed working and shopping with her.  My husband and I also were also social friends of Ev and Keith.  Both Great people!  Kim R.

To the family of Ev, my condolences on the loss of a great lady. I had the pleasure of working with Ev and Keith at United Telecom/Telephone for many years. They were a great couple, so genuine and caring, both inside and out.  Ev was very classy, smart and poised woman.  Keith was a smart handsome gentleman. They both had great business sense and were extremely loyal to the company.  When I go to the plaza and drive past the house, I would honk and waive.  Now when I drive by,  I'll say a prayer and say God rest your souls.

Ev was in HR at United Telecom when I came to work there in 1972.  I admired her because she was very professional and always looked so nice.  She never forgot a name or face.  She was friendly and kind.

I have fond memories of Ev from the time I was a little girl - she was my Mom's cousin and we'd always see her at family gatherings.  When I came to Kansas City in 1962 to find a job; she worked for a placement agency and gave me the leads to get my first job.  When my dad and brother died in a traffic accident, she spent many hours with me talking about life and death. When she married Keith, my husband and I were thrilled.  The ensuing years brought many get-togethers with them and so much fun!   They loaned us their tent to take our 3 boys camping for the first time - they loved it and it started a tradition that lasted for 12 years and took us all over the United States and Canada - with Ev and Keith bringing us soups or snacks often to add to our supplies.  After Keith's death, Ev and I continued our monthly outings to shop and have lunch; Luke would join us for dinner.  We talked often after she went to the nursing home, although my health problems kept me from visiting her.  We miss her more than I can put into words but know that she is no longer in pain and is with our Father in Heaven - we love her and will remember her always.   Carmin and Luke
