Frances Kamphaus Dingwerth, 85 of Lenexa, KS died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Trinity Nursing and Rehab, Merriam. KS. Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am, Monday, November 6, 2017 in Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family request contributions to the Alzheimers Association.
Frances was born May 30, 1932 in Adel, GA to Daniel J. and Susie Mae (Newton) Bennett. She was a telephone operator for AT&T for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. As a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, she helped bring a smile to faces as a clown. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her two husbands, Richard Kamphaus and Howard Dingwerth, her brother, Robert Daniel Bennett and one sister, Evelyn. Frances is survived by her two sons, Danny Kamphaus, Lenexa, KS and Richard Kamphaus, Twain Harte, CA, four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
