Frances Helen Lyon passed away suddenly on July 27, 2013. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 20, 1920 and was married for 46 years to the late Chester Willard Lyon. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Lyon Hartmann. Loving mother of Lynn Bragdon and Becky Lyon, mother-in law of James Bragdon, Jr. and James Cain; grandmother of Christie Hartmann and step-grandmother of Quinn Hackett. She worked for many years as a teacher and librarian for the Raytown Consolidated School District. Frances had many creative talents and varied interests throughout her life including photography, gardening, jewelry-making, dog training, quilting, reading and traveling.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church, 6429 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Raytown, Missouri, 64133, followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt.
