

Franklin (Frank) D. House Sr. transitioned to heaven on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, surrounded by family. He was 85 years old. Frank was born in Holly Springs, MS on July 24,1938 to the late Thelbert and Clara House. His childhood was filled with memories of attending his uncle’s farm, deer and rabbit hunting.
Frank developed a love of boxing as a teenager and relocated to Kansas City, MO where he continued to train in boxing. In 1958, he continued to train at the Gateway Training Center under the tutorage of the late Bubba Klice. He boxed in many tournaments in Kansas City, MO, Louisville, Kentucky and Chicago, Illinois. The highlight of his boxing career was in 1964 when he won the Golden Gloves heavyweight championship.
Frank married the love of his life, Forrestine Malone House in 1966 and to this union three children were born, Debra House Boni, Frank House Jr. and Micheal House. Frank worked for Owens-Illinois Plastics for 43 years before retiring in 2004. He loved spending time fishing and hunting, outdoor grilling and attending school sports events.
He leaves to cherish his memories; children, Debra House-Boni of Powder Springs, Georgia, Frank House Jr. and Rosalind Robinson House of Kansas City, MO and Micheal House of Kansas City, MO, grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Mikeya House, Amaya House, Micheal House Jr., Kaelib Stone, Brandon Boni, Marcel Boni, and Jeremiah House. He was predeceased by his sister Thelma House Jones and Howard House. He is survived by brother, William House, nephew and host of relatives.
