Frederick R. Meadows passed away on Tuesday, January 3rd from natural causes. Visitation will be Friday, January 6th from 11:30am to 1pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel. Funeral service to follow at 1pm with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. He was born on November 12, 1922 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Fred enlisted in the Navy. He served his country by working onboard an Aircraft Carrier and the Destroyer "Cunningham" for 6 years. He received the following decorations: World War II Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Later he worked as a Watchmaker at Helzberg's on the Plaza. That job led to him working for Norvell Marcum as a salesman for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Meadows. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mona Meadows; his daughter, Pam Brown & her husband Phil and his stepsons, Michael Moloy & wife Janice and David Moloy & his wife Mary Ann; grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Jenny Mergell, Michael Moloy, Matthew & Jonathan Moloy and great grandchildren, Joey & Austin Mergell and Marlee Moloy.
