

George L. Didde, 97, of Kansas City, Mo, passed away Nov. 30, 2012, at home with his family beside him. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, Kansas City, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., with burial following at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1011 N. Desoto Road, Lansing, KS. George was born on Nov. 8, 1915, in Nortonville, Kan., to Henry Bernard and Mary Leonhard Didde. He graduated from Nortonville High School. He married Rose Hund on May 30, 1939. She preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2009.
George was a kind and loving husband, father and a role model to all those who knew him. Faith and family were foremost in his life. He was always there when you needed him. He had an inventive mind and clever solutions to household repairs.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, Rose; son Dennis Didde and wife Lucy; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Hoskins and Tilly Deckard; and four siblings. Survivors include his daughters Cosby (Ray) Fulton; Georgia (Gerry) Auckly; and Diane (Danny) Owen; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister Henrietta Flowers of Topeka, Kan.
