She was the daughter of George D. and Lillie K. (Oliver) Worley. Glayda was raised on a dairy farm and attended school in Grandview, Missouri.
Glayda was united in marriage to Don L. Manning. They settled in Lone Jack, Missouri where they raised their three children until Don’s death in July 1977. Glayda married Lambert “Bert” L. O’Neal in October 1980. They adopted their granddaughter and made their home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Glayda worked for Pan Handle Eastern Pipeline and American Polled Herford. She was most proud of her work as a private in-home health care aide. She was a longtime member of the Golden Circle Horseshow Circuit and was a proud member of the Connection Point Church of Raytown, Missouri.
In addition to her husbands, Glayda was preceded in death by her son, Donnie L. Manning, her parents, two sisters Georgia Jean (Worley) Thompson and Kathrine Worley, and two brothers George D. “Butch” Worley and Gary W. Worley.
Glayda is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. (David) Niner, Pamela J. (Curtis) Schleif, Cynthia M. (Joseph) Williams, nine grandchildren; Christy (Chris) Harrison, Katie (Ben) Griffin and Kendra Niner; Carrie (Josh) Wilber and Aaron Schleif; Braxton and Kinsley Williams; Joseph Don “JD” (Kara) Manning and Brady (Abbey) Manning, 16 great grandchildren; Reagan and Carter Harrison, Addison and Aiden Griffin; Cooper Schleif, Rian, Kori, and Wesley Alcorn, Kylie, Bella and Baylor Wilber; Kade, Colton, Brynn, Sophie and Stella Manning, and two sisters Wanda (Tom) Phillips and Nancy Worley.
A graveside service for Glayda will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:30 am at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, 25203 E US Hwy 50, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086.
