

Grather was born December 1, 1964 in Kansas City, MO to the union of Gerald & Dorothy Turner. She was baptized at an early age at Swope Parkway Baptist Church, now known as Grace Point Baptist Church. Grather graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in 1983. After graduation she went on to trade school & received her state certification as a Pharmacy Technician. Upon completion she worked at Children Mercy Hospital for 23 years of dedicated service. Grather was very family-oriented; enjoying family dinners & outings. She greatly enjoyed cooking, which was her expertise. Grather had a great sense of humor, even during her illness she was always full of jokes & continued to keep a smile on her face to the very end.
Grather was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Turner; her sister, Jerrie Storey & her brother, Andre Turner. Left to cherish her memory is her father, Gerald Turner; two sisters, Deborah Johnson & Terrie Scott (Michael); a brother-in-law, Reggie Storey all of Kansas City, MO; her uncle, Henry Turner of Chicago IL; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her dear friend of 36 years, Toni Gethers-Ford.
