

Gregoria Gamon, age 80, of Mission, Kansas, passed away on January 13, 2007, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, at of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Gamon was born on May 9, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked at Sunshine Biscuit Co. prior to her 23-year marriage to Florentino A. Gamon. She worked as a machine operator for Universal Manufacturing Company for 10 years during the early years of her marriage. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was known for her love and compassion and an inspiration to the many people whose lives she touched through her love of her faith, and through her work providing hospice care for many years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Florentino A. Gamon in 1970, her son, Leonard A. Gamon in 2004, her brother Louis Chavez in 1992, and her sister Jovita Bell in 1963. She is survived by her sons, James E. Gamon and wife Rachael and Rene' S. Gamon; daughters Rosemarie Sifuentes and husband William and Camille Gamon, all of greater Kansas City; daughter-in-law Karen Gamon of Lawson, Missouri; her brothers: Augustine Chavez of Baytown Texas, Fr. Peter Chavez of Ascension, Paraguay; her sister, Josephine Ramirez of Lawrence, Kansas; her grandchildren, William J. Sifuentes II and wife Janet, Gabriel D. Sifuentes, Nicholas A. Gamon, Eric D. Gamon and wife Jennifer, Evelyn M. Gamon, Theresa A. Horne and husband Ty, Catherine O. Gamon, Daniel F. Gamon; great grandchildren, Drake Sifuentes, Havilah C. Horne, Alycea J. Horne, Tristan D. Horne. She was know and loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
