

He reported for active duty in the US Army World War II June 6, 1944.
Received many medals including a purple heart. Was discharged from the service on April 16, 1946.
Harold retired from working at the Kansas City School district as custodian. He later worked as a substitute custodian for the Blue Springs School district.
Harold volunteered at the KCMO Veterans Hospital for many years working at the welcome desk.
Harold was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 6603.
He liked the KC Royals, loved to travel, square danced in his younger days, and liked listening to country and western music and going to Veteran events.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two wives,
Gladys Carey and Jean Carey. Brothers; Earl, Garland, Cecil, Donald, and George Carey.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Harold will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A funeral will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133. A graveside & military honors will occur Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 7000 BLUE RIDGE BLVD, KANSAS CITY, MO 64133.
