

Harold A. Schlomann, 92, died March 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, MO after a lengthy illness. Graveside service with full Military Honors in Higginsville Veteran Cemetery on Friday, March 30th at 11am. Lunch following at the Salem United Church of Christ in Higginsville, MO. Harold was born on August 18, 1919 to Theodore & Mamie (Meinershagen) Schlomann and was the second of three children. Harold was in the Army serving as Military Police during WWII. He was stationed in TN where he met and married his wife, Mary Howe. Harold was preceded in death by his older brother, Palmer, younger sister, Laverne and a nephew, Alan and is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary; their children, Harold Jr. (Gretchen) of Clinton, WA, Margaret (Chris Simms), John (Rosalind) of Grain Valley, MO, Ann of Blue Springs, MO & Christine of Overland Park, KS; granddaughters, Sarah Christine Schlomann of Grain Valley, MO, Sara Enouchs (Weston) of Columbia, MO & Hannah Claire Schlomann of Clinton, WA, who is currently attending The Principia Upper School in St. Louis, MO; nieces and nephews, Max Schloman (Maxine) of Higginsville, MO, Janet Erdman (Darold) of Alma, MO, Barbara Schloman of Lee’s Summit, MO, Frank Vernon (June) of Cupertino, CA, and Kathleen Eller (George) of Independence, MO.
