Harold was born in Columbus, Indiana to Willard Lee and Cecilia (Levings) Shoopman on April 27, 1952. He went to school at Bishop Lillis High School and later vocational college where he learned to work on electronics.
Harold owned and operated his own business in the Kansas City area, which he named Copier Surgeon, for over 25 years. After retirement, his favorite pastimes included spending time at the lake, especially the Ozarks, boating, fishing, playing shuffleboard tournaments, and partying with his friends. He was an avid fan of K-State Football and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; and his oldest brother, Roy Lee Shoopman.
He is survived by his son, Paul (Alicia) Shoopman; grandchildren, Taylor and Miles Shoopman; brothers, Kenneth (Vicky) Shoopman, and William “Bill” Shoopman; and sister, Louise Shoopman-McCovey.
The family of Harold Shoopman wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Kansas City Hospice team, especially Nurse Lisa, for their outstanding care.
