

Belle Fisher, 88, of Overland Park, KS passed away Sept. 25th 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be, 9:30 am, Sept. 28th, Holy Spirit Church Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd Street, Overland Park, KS. Burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, September 27th, at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Belle was born on October 18, 1924 in West Plains, MO. to Grandville W. and Delitha (Holaway) Lock. She was the youngest of five siblings: two brothers Clyde and Earl and two sisters: Madge and Terry - they were all very close. She moved to Kansas City during WWII to work at the Fairfax airplane factory as a riveter and then later became in charge of cockpit inspection. After the war she met and married Thomas “Tom” Fisher. Belle loved taking care of her family, cooking, baking and canning. She enjoyed gardening and refinishing furniture. Belle never forgot your name and as she would put it had “horse sense”.
Belle is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas C. Fisher; her brothers, Clyde and Earl; her sisters, Madge and Terry. She is survived by her sons, John M Fisher and Edward C. Fisher; daughter Teresa Fisher Shaw; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
